What does the Green Monster energy drink taste like?

I need to know what the green Monster energy taste like.

It tastes like a lot of Spree candies ground up and put in a super sweet corn fructose liquid. Blecccch! Seriously, I wouldn’t touch those things with a ten foot pole.

How do step up transformers obey the law of conservation of energy?

How do step up transformers obey the law of conservation of energy?

An ideal transformer neither generates nor consumes energy, so the power entering it will equal the power leaving it. Power can be computed by multiplying the RMS voltage by the RMS current. So, if an ideal transformer has an input voltage of (say) 100 V and an output voltage of 200 V, the current coming out will be exactly half the current going in. A real transformer is not ideal but dissipates power owing to the finite resistance of its windings and other effects, so if a real transformer steps up voltage from 100 V to 200 V, its output current will be less than half its input current.

Where can I find an online source for building a cabin and alternative energy to power it?

Looking to build a cabin in the middle of nowhere in the ozarks. Wish to do this with my family and friends and ultimately power it with alternative energy.

Here are a couple of good links:

How will this make my home more energy efficient?

Please look at this item and tell me precisely how I might use it to make my home more energy efficient. Can you address each claim?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280186529360&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNARL:US:1123

How specifically will this product make my home more energy efficient? Please address each claim.

The product is a solar relflective material. It is intended to reflect sunlight away from the house, reducing your solar load in the summer.

If this material is installed on your roof it will reflect sunlight away, keeping your roof cooler. However, if you have an insulated attic I doubt that you will actually realize any savings, as proper insulation will reduce the heat load more than enough on it’s own.

As far as your windows are concerned, you solar heat load would be reduced by putting this material on your windows that face south. The southern facing windows are what gets the majority of sunlight etc.

This material will not make your house warmer in the winter since it will be reflecting the sunlight away from your house.

If you are looking to improve your home’s energy efficiency there are better ways to do it. Enusre that your attic has insulation with a total value of R50, and make sure you have good windows. I would reccomend at least double-pane with 1/2" gap, argon filled.

But since I know nothing about your house, call your utility provider and request an energy audit. They will usually perform the audit for free, and the audit will identify the best places for improvement in energy efficiency of your home. They also may have some rebate programs available that will lessen the cost to you for improving the energy efficiency of your home.

In general, don’t buy something on ebay that claims to be a wonder product, and don’t ask yahoo answers if you should buy it. Calling an HVAC company in your town, or calling your utility provider will get you better advice since they are professionals. I would hate to see someone waste $300 buying 10 rolls of this stuff when they could have improved something else on their home that will save much more energy.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Where in the world is there undergraduate degrees in renewable energy and/or sustainability?

I’ve already found a few, such as the University of New South Wales – Photovoltaic/solar energy degree. However, I would like to fully know all my options for undergraduate degrees in solar energy/wind energy/renewable energy etc. Most other programs I’ve found have been standard engineering degrees, which lead to graduate work in the subject. Any university in the world is the scope, as I’m not committed to residing with the United States.

I think Slippery Rock University
